After a long day on the telephone trying to get infomation on the above,

it turns out that the system for doing this is called Vacuum Metallization.

there are a few places that do this and i will be ringing them 2morow

so will update as and when. The major problem could turn out to be batch

quanties in relationship to price. see threds to follow

I asked my cousin to look into this (she was a shop designer) and yes the problem was the few companies that did plastic chroming would only do large batches. The minimum order value she could find was just over £500.

Cos has contacts which is how he chromes the headlight inserts. He may be able to put you in touch with them ...

I think this is the same company, but not totaly shure.

help from cos would be good tho. havent seen any threads

from him recently.

I have just bought a system, which I am importing from the states. I am going to give a few sets of headlight inserts a go - and if the quality is good I will be able to Chrome ANYTHING.. :) If the quality is rubbish I can get my money back as long as I send it back in 30 days....

 

I should have it by Friday and have some things Chromed for the meets in Feb...
