1st problem of 2005

Just(2days) fitted a DVD in the car ,pop a few fuses and run the battery flat (so what new?).But now my ignition lights do not work, but the the car is running the battery is just on.Check all the fuses twices both in the car and in the engine bay, all fine .Everything else is working fine

    :confused: Not familier with the electronics on this beast so I could just be talkin a load of VVank but my old BMW M3 had a seperate internal battery for the dash console (size of a 1pence peice) which would be charged via an internal cicuitboard in the Dash/Light console.Might have melted circuitry or blown internal battery ....

    I havnt a clue if there is such a thing on these babys..Anyone else know????

    Wait for one of the site GURU's to tell you.

    Probably something completely different or simple.

    So i will bu#ger off now before spillin any more cow poo.

    had a go at resetting the ecu to see if that helped NO,will have to rip it all out tomorrow and chase the wires ,its a good job Iam on the sick :nana2: :nana2:

    Have you checked the fuses next to the suspension turret on the o/s ? One of those is the ignition lights.
