Hi people, i havent been around much lately but its mainly due to the fact that ive been trying to sort out my car!

 

As some may know my car was involved in a bit of an accident, whilst parked infact, some Pr1ck drove straight into her :cry: :""(

Basically the insurance have been a bunch of right twats about the whole thing, they have deemed it to be uneconomical to repair blah blah blah..and are offering me practically peanuts for her!! arrhhh :headvswal i did refuse the initial offer but the 2nd and 3rd were not exactly anything to write home about.

 

As the situation stands she is can be repaired no prob so i was thinking of buying her back and selling her on, partly for the money and so that she dont end up with some chav or crushed :eek:

 

id sell her as is, i wont be repairing myself, cant deal with all the hassle again..

So what do guys reck....who wants an absolute bargain??

Looks pretty bad, looks like rear subframe has also gone. If you got hold of a relacement rear setup and a rear quarter panel, you could repair her no worries. You would be better off doing that and selling her as a runner.

Can this club set up an official evaluator? So if such things happen and insurance companies argue regarding costs, an official letter from the club can be sent with what the club says the car is worth?

That looks painfull to look at try get yourself a garage mate the road you park down is not safe ive seen your car parked up there was a nice car

Im looking for 2.5, was selling her for 5.5 before this happened, it can be put right for about 800-1000 large, (hate word, my little bro come out with ystrdy :headvswal )

 

So for 3.5 you got a great car, either way or i let the insurance company take it away....which i rather not happen...if they offer me more il gladly drop the price for you guys its just they are really not giving much 1900-350 excess=£1550!!!

Just keep leting them know that you in no way shape or form can you replace your car for that kind of money, let them know the min you will accept is £4800 and you do not want to hear from them again untill they are sending a cheque for the correct amount, or can show you your exact car for sale at the price they are offering.

Dunno the full story Jaz, but if you know the person who caused it and they accept responsibility for it, advise them you intend to sue for the personal loss amount on the car, which is technically the amount the insurance company are dissing you on. Also do you know if the subframe area is all okay ? does it need jigged ? if not deffo find the cash and repair it mate, shes a stunner and quite unique, so stick with it mate.

Its elephant Pete!.......im just really p'd off cos i prob spent 11-12K on the baby and its also a UK model! thats why i dont really want to break her. the engine, which was replaced last yr has only 45K'ish miles on it and the new recond box, about 7K......not including all the work Pete did on her:(
