i cant tell from the front bumper but surely the silver ZX is the TT (in which case the red is the NA and in the wrong order!)

Reaction times are a little 'varied' as well! but definately a good vid to watch! cheers Rich!

(and why does JC call it a 1980's ZX when its a 1990's??)

right, ive whored all i can from this thread now - time to move on to another one :D :D

:D We need to get the clubs together for a gathering at the Top gear studios, but the Split has to be 50/50 male / female or they wont let ya in :(

Sarge, Ive been trying to get this sorted for over a year now, neither Top gear or The Applause store (tickets for top gear) have been back in touch with me, im not impressed.

I'll wedgie Jezza if we ever get there.

Becuase the Z32 was first up for sale in the late 80's

Dave, to quote your Sig.........

"'89 JDM TT, White, Auto"

Mornin

oy you two! to me "80's" means 1980-1989 ie. 280zx/z31

the z32 was only in 1989 for half a year, then went into the "90's"

90s sounds less like an 'old' car, therefore thorowing his bullshit stories out the window. Not a bad dvd, would have preferred less bits stolen from tg though...and how unconvincing did the first shot of the anti tank shell flying through the air look! ;)

SkylineDave is right about the NA - the red one is the SWB NA, silver is Gio's TT (apparently with a boost leak at the time :P). We only had two runs, which is probably why the start is a bit embarrassing (there was no big green light to watch, just a man waving his arms from the 240/260 end of the start line). I completely fluffed that second start, was too busy watching the man and forgot to set my revs - oops :S

It was a fun morning though, lots of nice people (and cars... mmm) :)

The silver zed is Gio's the 350 is john-boys

both members here :D

Yup - Go Gio

There's a good article written by John-Boy in the latest Z-club mag too.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I have heard the first dozen Z32 where availible in 1988. If a car is released in late 80s it has been designed during at least the mid 80s, which to me makes it an 80s car.

Heh heh.......

Didn't know that, but the Z32 was first sold in the UK in any noticable numbers in 1990, although a few may have been sold very late in '89.

Did you participate then Mr Dog?

Ivan

Yeah, Ivan, I was the red NA SWB :P I was very slow and got told off for revving too loudly :P

I noticed the "80s car" comment too - think it was more likely a mistake by the writers. They called me a week or so later to ask if it was fair to describe the 260 as a "70s car" (which struck me as a bit desparate, because I'm *no* kind of authority on 260s :S), so I guess they were just as confused by the Z32.

There was no 280 there, which was a disappointment... but in one of the garages on the road out of the airfield, there was an unhappy-looking 280 sitting out front :/

We got the impression that Jezza was holding back in the 350 - the TT would've still nuked him, but I think he backed off enough to give the lead 260 a chance.

Can't download them?? Saying they don't exist.....
