Just had some hoses changed on the power steering, as there was a slight leak.

Now I am getting a intermittent loss of power assistance while driving, most disconcerting, OK while stationary and at very low speed.

Just goes and comes back again whhile driving, not a complete loss just gets noticably heavier!

Could it be air in the system? or something else?

Was all ok before hoses changed!

sounds like air in the system. jack up the frount, start engine and turn lock to lock while toping up the oil. dont let it drop to far or you will get more air in.

mine too not nice when your trying to impress.... :hurl:

Could be the connection to the pressure switch on the PS line to the rack. Look behind the drivers wheel at the PS pipework and you should see a cylinder with a flying lead on it, with a connector on the end. Check thats attached properly ;)
