Around March time myself and Chris "and anyone else who wants to play out" are going to battle at Pod. For me its just for fun and also a very interesting project. In my opinion anyone can go out and buy pre made performance parts of the shelf for there TT's, bolt them on and think there car is improved by 1000hp. To my this is boring and does not require much engineering ability’s. For example you want to build a fast PC, so you go out and but the fastest components as possible, throw them in a case and power on. Most people leave it at that and think they have built the fastest PC money can buy. I myself are taking it a step further and are going to see if I can produce a car which not only I can use as a respectable daily driver but also will hold its own at pod. I know what all the stock times are and Iam not really interested. I also know that I have no chance in hell beating Chris unless he makes a mistake but Iam planning on it to be close.

 

Most parts I use will be modified stock N/A parts, the plan is to try and produce this car at as little expense as possible by removing metal and not adding it . The engine will be re-mapped to allow for this of course.

I have both N/A and TT but would like to see how far a N/A can be pushed without using forced induction or nitros. I have a few spare engines to play with so it will give me something to do on these cold lonely nights.

 

There are only a handful of members who have actually attempted to re-engineer the stock engine, without using aftermarket parts. as aftermarket parts can have negative effects as they are not properly designed and have not been tested properly on the Z engine.

 

Don’t read into this the wrong way, Iam not claiming to able to produce better products than anyone else and that aftermarket products are bad. Iam just going to use some basic techniques which people seem to have long forgotten.

 

If it works then thumbs up if it doesn’t then I will buy loads of greddy stuff of Chris and will try again :tongue:

I doubt you'll beat a TT to 60 with a stock NA, even if he does loose traction!

To my this is boring and does not require much engineering ability’s. I'd much rather have it chopped off and start again. I myself are taking it a step further and are going to see if I can produce a ejaculating tool which not only I can use as a respectable daily shaker but also will fill many holes at the pod.

 

I know what all the stock times are and Iam not really interested. I know i can get it upto 60 strokes per minuite.

I mean the N/A will not be too far behind the Chris's TT. Read the thread ...I have a "several" TTs, I also have an N/A. I have lots of engines and spares to play with. I do not want tubs on the car, I want to dabble with the stock N/A setup to the point were it is still reliable as as a daily driver.

 

I know what times to expect but this is between "man and machine" not just the car its self, Iam not saying that I want to race every man and his dog because my car is faster than yours bla bla bla.

You want to speak to jock he had the fastest NA I know off on the board without running NOS etc his dyno figures at the rear wheels were only a few BHP from some of the turbos last year at thor
