Does anyone know where I can get a week's insurance cover?

Try www.elephant.co.uk they charged me £35 for a 1 month policy TPFT on my old CRX VTEC.

Iam already insured with them, and this was an extra car, So I am unsure i they can help, but worth a try.... they are very cheap anyway

After all when an insurance company provides a courtesy car whilst yours is being repaired they switch your cover to the hire car for the duration.

 

Can you not just switch your cover temporarily, if you aren't using your ZX?

 

Not only that, but a couple of years ago when I bought the Corsa, I hadn't sold the Micra at the time but Direct Line let me insure both cars on one policy for a month for £25.
