Just got my first Z last week n one of the dipped headlights is barely aglow while the other side is fine. Don't know if it is a common fault or some wonabe auto electrician has been hard at work with his not so magic wand. Any ideas?

Are you sure you have the same bulbs fitted?

Often what's happened is someone has upgraded the bulbs, kept the originals, then when one upgraded bulb goes they stick in one of the originals. Hence the difference in brightness...

Just an idea. :)

Hi, if you want i can supply a set of uprated H3c bulbs that fit the dipped beams of imports. These only draw the stock current (55w) so they wont damage lamp housing or wiring but produce alot more whitter light. They are good quality japanese items and cost £24/pair delivered. If your interested let me know, dorian (d.dixon@ulst.ac.uk)

Sounds like you may have an earth fault on the dim headlamp, check the earth and make sure they are not corroded, use a piece of wire to bridge a good earth to it, and see if it makes any difference.
