Does anyone know where exactly the "aircon amp" is situated? :wack: Need to remove it for Daves_New_ZX :)

Cheers

Never heard of 1 of those, does he mean the drier at the front?

Yeah it's defo the AirCon Amp modual, it's in the service book, and is the caurse of my fault of not having any display on the AirCon pod on the dash. Apparentley its somewhere behind the centre panel in the drivers footwell, but I've not seen it yet.

:ttiwwop: pmsl :D

there is a unit next to the clutch peddle on the side of the aircon unit ,think it might be the aircon ecu

Ok I found it, its called a control amp (well done dave :D ) and it is as krsmayo said, it is bolted to the side of the heaterbox next to the clutch pedal box (if it had 1) it has 2 plugs into it.

these units are different for series 1 and 2, as AndyP and me swopped the display units around and they don't work

Thanks, well mine is a '92, so I beleive that makes it a series 1, which is what Pete's is, so that should be OK then :D

the series 2 loses the outside ambient temp off the display - mine is 1/8/92 and series 2
