on my zed at the mo its supposedly got an se twin filter induction kit

this consists of a pair of huge cartridge type filters from crosslands about 200mm in overall length about 140 -150 mm round and an hole in the bottom about 70mm in dia. and threre paper mmmmmmmm niceeeeee :nono: :o

these in turn connect to a rather big glass fibre intake pipe (quite nicely farbricated and doesnt look too restrictive)which joins back into one then gets plumbed on to the AFM im thinking about binnin this lot and going for a single filtered induction kit HKS Blitz K&N i dunno yet what do you lot recommend ????

im still thinking of putting 2 filters on to this intake kit instead of these 2 crappy paper cartridge filters comments ideas please cheers

You will find that people have slightly differing opinions on this subject bud, Most will say APEXI  which are good and have been proven to be good:D

But me likes to be different and i have gone for the bigger option of the BLITZ ( larvly sounding) but that is my own choice.

On the 2 pop unless you are going bigger than the 500bhp then there isnt really any requirement for them. (Sure i will be told wrong) lol

sorry might have mislead you there its got one AFM but then after the AFM (going to the front not to the engine) it splits into 2 3 inch ish pipes (this glass fibre bit) which has these 2 ugly filters on it what about 2 apexis on that or am i still better off with one ???

Your SE kit is actualy SE's version of an old HKS twin filter kit from years ago, it never sold all that well due to the high cost of it.

Keep it and bin the filters they are not the best, just remove one and measure the opening, hopefully it's 76-80mm which is a very common size to replace and possibly use a universal apexi on each bank. It's also the ideal time to remove the unit from the MAF and re-fit using some gasket sealer as from what i've seen the MAF plate side on some is uneven leading to air leaks. Principal is good, i also have the same thing but in stainless pipework and twin apexis on it and works well.
