Would any of you fine fellows know if the profecb solenoid valve is open or closed when no feed is present?

I thank you :D

Should be Open, it depends on which (pipe) connections you use.

Actuator should be on Com, pressure feed on NO.

That way, the fail mode is safety boost if the power is disconnected.

cheers for the reply John, only i half fitted the controller at the w/end before it got dark

I piped the actuator lines to the valve and the same with the hardpipe spigots

and left it at that.I used com for the actuators and no for hardpipe pressure.

Now i thought with this set up and the stock solenoids still connected if the valve is "normally open" i should get stock boost??

When i put my foot down the other night the guage read 15psi!!WTF?

Hence the original question. So if the valve IS normally open it sounds like a problem elsewhere-it's almost like the hose is blocked or at least partially-hence the high boost.Any other ideas most welcome!! ;)

You neeed to disconect the stock solenoids once you get it all working.

Having said that, I'd have expected stock boost too with solenoid disconnected.

Was it actually disconnected from the controller at the time?

I'd double check all the plumbing first and make sure it's all clear.

Also, try blowing through the solenoid and make sure it's passing OK.

Yep-the controller isn't in the car yet-just the plumbing done.Oh well,I'll check the hoses for blockeges/kinks etc and blow the valve

Better to have found out now I suppose!

Cheers John. :)
