Don't know about the turbos bud, but I would thoroughly recommend Longlife for the exhaust work. They have a branch in Wallington (nr Croydon) and have a special promotion running until mid January..

thanks for that , Do u advise them over a mongoose system?? Also is the z centre the best place for decat pipes?? as i was really after an Hks or something on those lines.

Finally , How do i go about getting the precat off, the one straight after the turbo as my car is a 93, Who can remove this for me ??

stage ones or twos would be fine for a standard engine anymore and you will be pushing the pistons etc unless you are going to go for uprated internals in the near future and in that case then the greddy 16g are a great kit, the hks 2530 are also excellent or the PE1420's but thats to get duffers ranting again

sorry for my ignorance but which turbos are stage 1 and 2 ?

usually the stadard T25's with bigger compressor wheel etc

Getgreddy sells them also Smithy as well, think Ztech sells them as well so loads to choose from

Mongoose is not bad but Longlife will make you a complete mandrell bent system, take out your precats and cats, and for a small fee weld new flanges to your old cats in case you ever need to refit them (eg: mot). I had all the above done and the car sailed through it's mot no probs.

You can also choose the style of tailpipes and even the loudness of the system. The Wallington fellas have done mine and Jock's cars - top product and a lifetime guarantee...

would u advise removing the standard 2 main cats and getting and leaving the precat by the turbo or would u recommend keeping the cats and jets having a catback system ??

What i meant to type was .....would u advise removing the standard 2 main cats and leaving the precat by the turbo or would u recommend keeping the 2 cats and just having a catback system ??

Sorry long day!!

what price am i looking at from longlife guys???

Mine was just under £700 including removal of the cats, precat and the work on the cats to allow them to be refitted if required.

Catback would be cheaper and they do retain more back pressure on the turbos (said to prevent premature oil seal leakage). Cat removal gains include better breathing and faster turbo spool up.. I'd get rid of 'em ;)

* EDIT * If you're worried about this, do a search on turbo oil seals and you should find loads of info

my car currently has a precat straight after the passenger side turbo as its a 1993 model and the 2 main cats on it , So to decat totally do i need to unbolt the precat from the left side turbo and then get the str8 through downpipes as well as a cat back?? If so is the precat easy to get off as it looks like a bitch to get too!! Or does anyone know anywhere that can do the whole lot for me ??
