Radio / lights help

anyone got any ideas as to whats causing my headunit to go crackly/bad quality of sound when i turn my lights on. When the light are off its fine. Also i have checked the stereo's earthing and its fine . help!!

    There are posts on here regarding this before, and they all seem to point to the earthing of your head unit, it should have it's own independent earth supply, and not to rely on a loom earth. It's quite a simple mod to to.

     

    It will show as a good earth with a meter, but under load it'll show the signs that your describing here.

    i have earthed the head unit direct to the body of the car behind the stereo but its still happening
