Hiya all,

Thought I'd share this experience with you speed freaks ...

This afternoon it took me 3hours to cover exactly 250 meters! If my calculations are correct that is whopping top speed of no less than 0.05 miles per hour!

Reason: Bomb scare in central Birmingham had the city centre completely gridlocked since last Sat evening. Nothing really happened but the cops are still arsing around ...

Now, I dare any one of you to beat this new record! wink.gif

Cheers!

Danny biggrin.gif --> sure as hell didn't look like this smilie this afternoon - there's nothing more frustrating than not getting anywhere fast in a Zed!

Yes, I can beat that on no less than 2 occasions biggrin.gif

Occasion, the first : Sitting in the middle of London after a job interview and moving approximately 1 foot in 4 hours. And that was in the first 20 minutes. After that, it was engine off, sit.

Occasion, the second : huge thunking accident on the M6 on the way home one Friday. All lanes except hard shoulder closed. Must have limped along a good 5 metres onto the Hard Shoulder to avoid the accident before some twazzock decided to rear-end the car in front and block that lane off as well. 3 hours later...we commence to move once more..

My Zed has been sat in a car park for six and a half hours today.

Do I win the dishwasher and cuddly toy?

My Zed hasn't moved in about.. ooh.. a month, month and a half... wink.gif

Left Fort at 6:15pm and took 45 minutes trying to get over the island from the Fort Parkway by the Jaguar....Z emp started to creep up, got nervous, saw small (well very!) gap and got lead foot....got motion again at 7:03 (yes I checked)

No more jams.....then it took me 5 minutes to get home.....Zig Zagged me way through the traffic (naughty, naughty)

Man driving back from duffmans place on sunday 240 miles, 61/2 hours of driving.;(

You're right Warren...LMFAO biggrin.gif

My car made it from M25 just after Dartford Tunnel when heater matrix blew...AA flat-bed to AA storage then onto Arriva Nelson following day! Then looking like something Alien like had gestated in his engine bay and hatched he was taken to SE! Where he has been since...last I heard Pete was gettin' about 6 decent sized grade A eggs from some bantams he has livin' in me car! LOL biggrin.gif

I usually sit in traffic in Brum every Friday afternoon for a few hours, over the years must have spent a good portion of my Trouble & Strife on the M6 staring at the RAC centre! wink.gif
