Advice needed for replacement speakers

I have replaced my headunit with a new high end Kenwood Unit. Only just found out why my speakers are now not working with it. i.e. they are 4 Bose units with built in Amps.

From what I have read it seems best to replace them.

I know nothing about speakers. I simply want some good replacement ones, not trying to blow the doors off! Maybe spend up to £100.

This is for a 1994 Mk4 Twin Turbo, with two door speakers and two rear boot speakers.

Can anyone tell me what sizes I need for front and back and what they would recommend in terms of specification and/or specific models and best place to get them from?

Thanks................

they are 6x4s in the rear and most ppl go for JBL or kenwoods - u can pick up the JBL's in Harry halfords for £50, I *think* it's 6" in the front.

Do the cables to the speakers need to be changed, also what is 2 way, 3 way and 4 way speakers?

2 way: bass/ mid range cone it has one speaker sitting on top of the other that does the top end

3way 3 speratrate speakers bass/mid tweter

4way 4 seperate speakers bass/mid/tweet/super tweet

all of the seperate speakers sit in the same chassis as the bass cone

hope this helps
