What new wheel have you put on?

and where did you get your boss from?

Have been trying to get a boss for a Momo

steering wheel for the past 6 months

without any joy, anyone know where i can get

one?

Ian

well if the steering wheel had airbags, i can see why it'd be that exspensive

Ian,

I have a Momo Steering wheel and boss, but the boss was on the car (imagine my surprise when I got in the car after buying it, to see the Legendary Rock Legend Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen holding my wheel onto the steering rack spline etc etc etc..)

Im not sure where it came from, it might be a skyline one or it might be a proper job from Japan (it doesnt seem to affect the HICAS)

I'll try and find out where it came from for you smile.gif

Hi,

You would be better off buying a very good condition second hand wheel, as I did for £50!

Plus, you could always get the rim retrimmed in new leather.

I'd imagine that Nissan must have been quoting you for the later 4 spoke air-bagged wheel, at that price!(with gold leaf wink.gif )

HOW MUCH mate??? 640 squid + Value Arsed Tax!

Reason why I'm responding is that me and the boy wonder(Bro) were only on about steering wheels tonight on the Dog & Bone! He was checking out a lovely Harry's finest Momo at 170 squid or so! He wasn't paying that! Don't blame him!

What's the point? It's a round thing, it helps you get round the round bits in the road etc. You won't get 10bhp on the dyno for having a new circular thing! LMFAO!

You're 'avin' a Cornish Calf mate! biggrin.gif

I've noticed that car manufacturers charge astro prices for stuff that they don't envisage to go wrong, break etc.

Wankers!

Tell you what, send me £50 for fixing your clock and we'll call it quits !!!!

LOL biggrin.gif

Clock=£175+vat !!! You have got to be joking!

Have you bought it yet?

I'm about to repair mine with a couple of 6p resistors... yes that's 0.06 GBP!!!

(That's assuming you have the typical time fault)

Nope, I fixed it for him and it wasn't the resistors.

Also, if yours is the resistors, then make sure you get the 0.5W (or greater) ones, as otherwise they won't last long !

Cheers Andy, yes I have the 0.5w ones...

What was your repair?

Is the "typical time fault" the reason why my car loves 1.00 so much?! I think the clock actually reached 2.30 once before deciding it was lunch time again.

The typical fault is that the display doesn't or only when it feels like it ! The clock tends to keep time as that part is unaffected.

In the case of the one I just fixed I started by replacing the resistors and it still didn't work, so I put the originals back. Then I resoldered every dodgy looking joint and everyone that had anything to do with the display circuitry and magically it started working.

Chris (prev owner) says it is was a Nismo Boss which is the same as the Skyline.
