HAD HIM 2 WEEKS , BEEN HAVING TOO MUCH FUN DRIVING TO CHECK FLUIDS, HAVE LEARNT MY LESSON NOW ,HOWEVER IF IT IS FLUID MUSTR HAVE A MAJOR LEAK AS WAS FINE 3 DAYS AGO.

Rooster buddy, is your auto an import?? If so get an oil cooler on buddy. I learnt this lesson well! Everyone advised me to get a cooler on my import and i thought i knew better so i went and bought a spoiler etc.... then poop. All went tits up and no gear box. If you havent serviced it, do so. Does the oil smell burnt??

I SUSPECT I HAVE AN OIL LEAK COS WHEN DRIVEN HARD I GET A BURNT OIL SMELL COM :duffer: ING FROM THE UNDER BELLY OF THE BEAST .

DOES AN OIL COOLER COOL THE TRANNY OIL OR JUST THE ENGINE OIL

burnt smell = transmission stuffed

Agree with jonce to get a cooler fit. Didnt fit one to mine and needed a new box, got one fit now.

Buddy the burnt smell will most likely the smoke (fumes) coming from the small breather pipe on top of the box :( The oil cooler will just do the oil for the box. Easy to fit ;) . Still sounds like your clutches burning out (soz). Take it steady :eek: . The indicators come from Amber performance but other traders do them on here. I bought them b4 i joined the site.

I have been told by a autobox specialist ,that has repaired 4 imports with the same symptems that the "satilite gear has gone and will cost 2k, :x: thanks for the link for the indicators

if you are burning auto fluid via a leak onto somthing hot you would notice it! mines doing that right now and its like a james bond smoke screen!! apparently engine oil smokes a bit and auto fluid smokes A LOT!!

my auto box was jumping out or eving high like i had my foot depressed on a clutch

 

it turned out being the throttle position sensor, been bugging me for months fixed it today and it feels like a completely different car

Cheers sounds similar will lok at this too

wish i'd bought one the first day i got my zed

i reckon it was on its way out from day one all

look for worn out sections on the carbon tracking inside it with a multi meter

especially at low throttle points
