I bought this 300 recently with the intention of finnishing it and putting it back on the road its a 1991 300tt auto import! I have around 20k of receipts since 1998 it been off the road for 2/3 years,

its got the following

new turbos and oil feeds

Custom rear spoiler

side skirts

not sure if the rear bumper is standart or not ???

new knock sensor, piston rings, recon heads, cam belt

Leather interior

Nismo dials

17" splitrim alloys with 235/45/17 and 255/40/17 which are all brand new

The engine rebuild has not been carried out professionally so realy needs stripping down and starting again + the rear tail gate needs repairing properly too! the car is complete I dont have the time to do it because im looking at investing in a house that has come up cheap!

I want 1,950 quid for the whole car complete, if I get no takers how much would you guess its worth as a breaker?? it seems to good to break though

Thanks

The person who has rebuilt it to me did'nt know what he was doing, bolts missing here and there I found one of the head bolts to be loose on opening up one of the cam covers, to me its not worth trying to rebuild the engine without haveing a better look on the in side incase he has'nt done one of the big ends up properly or something like that! The heads look like new on the inside so there has been work done to it the sump has been off too. Some ones been spending some cash on it from the receipts I have!

If you end up breaking it, I'd be interested in the rear spoiler and front bumper.

Sorry to sound like a vulture

Regards

Phil

Personally mate I would rebuild it, otherwise someone else is going to buy it, rebuild it and turn a buck, if its had everything replaced it should be pretty simple to just strip it down and rebuild, especially as you're in the middle of zed #1 rebuild also

I would like to mate but I was hoping for a quick turn over on this car to pay for bits on my other, I havent really got the time or space to pull the engine on this one, also due to This house coming up for sale which needs alot of work :( I've got to get on this ladder sometime I guess

Thats a tricky one JD but I suppose you have already made the decision yourself and answered the questions as to wether or not you should sell it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Why dont you buy a good running engine and drop that engine in and then sell the car with a spare engine that way you will get a good price for the whole lot...

This was the other option i was thinking about would be alot quicker in the long run, the only thing im worried about is there seem to be alot of people breaking a perfectly good car because they cant sell it as a runner

How much do you recon i would get hold of a second hand engine?

and how much would you say I would get if I broke the car?

Looks a really nice car, the bodykit should fetch a few quid if you broke it!

Personally I would rebuild the engine and keep it, or you could sell it, it looks a bit of an eyecatcher and may fetch a few quid!

Have you run the engine yet, or did the owner already have problems with it?

I'd drop baggins a shout and see if you can reach a mutual arrangement.

He can do an engine swap on an exchange basis which would save time and for you not paying him upfront he has a share of the cars selling profit which you both try to sell at a more realistic price ??? just a thought mate as it seems a real shame to send this to Zed heaven just yet ;)

cheers

smithy

I reckon you could source a running engine for about £500-£600, or if you break the car you should still be able to get back approx £2kish. I reckon Smithy's idea about contacting Baggins is a good idea too, good luck with whatever you choose to do.

If you do end up breaking it then let me know I would be very interested in taking the Rear spoiler and sideskirts off you.

It would be nice to see it kept on the road though!

Forgot to say that i would take the wheels too. Good luck with your decission

Reckon you should get it on the road. If 20k has been spent on it it should be pretty decent. Once its going you will get more cash from the sale.

Cant bring my self to break it so im going to strip the engine and rebuild it properly, I'll give baggins a shout too

Thanks ;) will keep you posted

Thats the spirit!!!

Yer it was mate, turns out the slight rust is more like rot on the tail gate! I would'nt recomend his mechanic :D

Wouldnt mind a silver one myself. If you have still not made a decision by end of Dec, drop me a mail as I might have 2 grand lying about by then.

I would need a Baggins though to get it back on the road. I'd then off-load my black pile of junk.

Not on here I hope mate .. can't believe it is that bad mate ...

Give me a shout when you looking at buying one mate an we can come to some arrangement, I will start removing the engine sat, will hopefully have it on the road for the beginning of jan ;)

Cool, thats good news.

Your right, its not so bad- its pretty much stock, but its all a bit tired. Needs 2k spending on it before I even start to think about mods, body, paint, interior. I've done nearly 20,000 mile in her in under a year with only a hose, pads and a belt go on her. I guess thats Nissan reliability. I think if you drive your zed daily and dont cane the nuts out of it, they tend to be happy or am I just lucky?

But I still want a silver one. My misses likes the zed in silver and she said if i bought one, she'd drive it. His and hers zeds! I can dream eh

Yep will do- if you still got it by then. Theres always someone after a bargain.
