Do any of you NA owners ever wish that you had got a TT instead???

And if any TT owners are looking do any of you wish that you'd got an NA instead???

Or do NA owners "upgrade" to TT after a while???

At the moment I'm happy with my NA- quick, noisy and used everyday.

So..... people who've had both seem to rate the NA as better?!!!!

No, but I think they're saying not as heart renching and leaves the pocket alome more. However what J D is saying is true bigger NA power is more direct, more reliable and more drivable.

I still think standard NA power would leave me wanting. I drive my wifes Celica TRD which is 230bhp and much lighter than the NA Z + the handling is soooooperb, but I'm still left wanting more power.

What's the BHP and Torque of the NA?

Think about 220bhp approx 170-175RWHP

Throw some 18Gs on it and you could expect around 320 RWHP and a new engine

You need to know the BHP per Ton. Put it this way the TRD is way up on the NA Z.

Broken TT's loads of time and money spent, little or no use thats what Iam talking about. ;) In the end mate there only Nissans, are they realy worth it

Only a Nissan very true!

however can kick most stuff right up the arse without breaking into a sweat,I always remember the look on a Pork 911 drivers face when my old Nissan made him look like a fool

Mine stands me at over 50k but I can HONESTLY say I would not change it for the world.

If you knew from the start it was goin to stand you 50g's would you of still done it. You see that's the road I was on, just another K and another, did not know when to stop. Now that I have other fish to fry, I have had to put my sensible head on and refrain from feeding the habit

:)

Who said smoking was hard to give up.....

Mark mines a SWB slicktop, its much lighter than the std N/A. Feels like a Civic when throwing it round. Anyways I did not buy it because of the pwr, I bought it because its one of the best looking motors I have ever seen. If speed is what I was after then I would of bought a bike...

Top man. The road to recovery can only begin when you accept the road you have trodden was not your intended path. (Glasshopper)

The Next question is are you going to do anything else to her or do you stop after she's running.

Ya see the reason I ask is because I'm going to do my interior and the Explosion wide arch kit + yet another different set of wheels once the kit is on. By my reconning at that stage I will have spent £30,000 + original purchase price, but I've got to finish her before I park her in the garage only to come out for meets and rallies. I know I've gone too far.

People don't tend to talk about BHP per ton. That is what really counts, isn't it? I think the NA is underpowered for the weight and is not the most nimble car, but I still felt I had 'enough' power. It could still slide out at the back and when it was stoked up could go fast. I never understand 1/4 milers 'drag boys' who shave a tenth of a second off their time and think it's a great achievement. 5 second to 60, 6 seconds to sixty- not much different in feeling unless you are desperate to burn someone off at the lights ;).

figures for an NA are about 7 or so to sixty. I suppose that was a little high and I would have liked it a bit lighter so it went a bit quicker, but I was never going to want big power (otherwise I would have had a TT). It was a totally different drive to a TT and that's what most TT drivers on here don't want to know about.

I had 190 at rear wheels, 230(ish?) at the crank. Loads of people would laugh at that but all unless your racing people it's not such a big thing. I still like the feeling of power in a twin turbo car, and ideally I'd have a nice NA car and a TT on the drive.

I never wanted a car to spend thousands on and just bring out for car shows. An NA gave a lot of fun on a daily drive.

Mark go for it bud. If I had 100k spare, I would have no problems in spending it on my baby, wouldent have to think bout it.

:) I have found that as the years past, my prioritys have shifted a little. If I could I would find a secure lockup and store her for a long while, until I had the time and money to totaly rebuild her......... :) As for Ian well he's lost it
