Safe Boost

Hi, I am trying to find out if my car is stuck in safe boost or not. I haven't driven any other 300zx's, so I don't have anything to compare with.

It is fitted with an aftermarket Blitz gauge with the hose hooked in correctly according to FAQ's I have seen.

When I drive, it never goes above 0.7 kg/cm2 (it seems to stop around 0.68)

With engine off, it goes to 0. At idle, it stays around -40 cm/Hg. Braking on the engine, it goes to around -55cm/Hg. I have no mods beside induction kit and exhaust (cats still on).

Is it likely that the gauge is a bit off, or is the car stuck in safe boost?

I have done ECU diagonstics, the LEDs show 55 (all OK).

I have disconnected the battery overnight to reset the ECU.

Is there a way I can find out for sure if it's stuck in safe boost? What can I do to fix it?

Cheers

Ivan

0.7kg/cm2 is 9.95psi, so you're not in safety boost.

Is there any reason you think you are?

Sorry for wasting people's time on a stupid question. I assumed (wrongly) that 0.7kg/cm2 was 7 psi. there's no other reason.

cheers,

;) The only stupid question is one that isn't asked, or so they say..

No worries at all - At least you know it's not in safetyboost :)
