Can you use the skyline rear disks with the standard 300zx rear callipers?

Has anyone done this?

The skyline discs are quoted as 22mm thick.

The 300zx discs are quoted as 18mm thick

Thanks

Martin

Never taken a Skyline apart, but does it have the same internal kind of drumbrake thing that 300's have ? I suspect not.

There is not really much point to changing the rears. Rears do about 20% of the braking so even supposing the replacement is slightly better thermally it is still hardly worth the effort to have the 20% improved by 20% gives about 4% overall. Doing the fronts is the only worthwhile mod for real improvement.

imho that is.

I am replacing the front callipers with R33 GTR Brembos and will be buying new front and rear disks. Wanted to match front and rear drill / slots for looks and keep my options open for skyline rear calipers.

May have to buy skyline front and 300zx rear disks with same pattern if they wont fit.

Thanks
