As some of you may have gathered by now (he keeps asking wierd questions  ) I'm looking to buy my first Z.

How much does it cost to have an autobox car converted to a manual?

I'm sure you've been asked this a million times but I've seen a really nice swb and it's an auto (DOH!)

I'm not to bad with a spanner but I don't fancy getting the car on stands and trying to lift a box the size of the Z's upto it in December on a driveway. Don't mind swapping the ECU's etc though :D

Have you tried a search yet??? That question cropped up a while ago.

IIRC its about £1500 for the start to end finished full conversion job.

But you may well be able to pick up the kit for much less (manwell boxes rare tho) and do it yourself If you fancied it! AndyZ a trader here was selling the full monty a while back.

It's alright lads just had a look at the car in question and it's not what I'm after. I asked the seller was it the original colour he said yes but when I got there and opened the bonnet there was red inside, not usually a problem but the car was blue  . So there's another 200miles on my car for nothing!

I think I'll just find a manual to begin with but thanks for the help :D

Cos's old motor's looking very tempting at the mo ;)

How anyone expects to get away with something like that when selling a car is beyond me  madness..

I suppose eventually they'll find someone mug enough to believe "Yeah, the inside of the engine bay was painted red on all 300's.."

lol mines is original red :P either the previous owner drove through splashed blue paint or someone didnt like him much
