If I dont hit low 12's then I will resign

Mods currently waitting to be installed

JWT ECU (tuned for 98 Octane)

BLITZ SBC-ID & PowerMeter

Blitz Intake

Triflo 2.5" pipe and quad 4.5" oval tips

And something that I expect to kick some ass

LEVEL-10 PTS Torque Converter [3000 Stall speed].

I have done a research on TT.net and I send some emails around and everybody told me that I should expect 05 to 1 sec drop 1/4 from the Torque Converter.

This depends how well I lanch the car.

Not too much mods but I guess should do the job. Everything else is stock.

Then I can race that blue Turbo Porsche 2000 model on my neighbourhood smile.gif

If not then I sell the bitch and buy a skateboard.

Have fun

But most US Zs are 2 seater and dont have th extra weight of the extra length and rear seats.

Did you take that into consideration

Well, I havent had the chance to record my times yet but its just a guess.

I hope I dont get disappointed. :-(

Sounds good!

How much is the Level Ten Torque Converter? And how long will they take to deliver?

Trev

Its $1090 + $100 for delivery.

I just want to tell you that I have done an extensive research on the matter and indeed you can get between 0.5 and 1 sec drop at 1/4 miles times.

I'be been on the Supraforum as well and all the guys running 11's 10's with AUTO all of them use Torque Converters with High Stall Speed.

Well what ever happens I am getting one and I will post some info as soon as I record my times.

What do you do to tune the JWT ECU for 98 octane ?

Buy the non-California one ?

Advance the ignition timing by a couple of deg ?

Get it re-programmed ?

When I place my order to JWT I mention to Ben that I am only using 98 Octane petrol and he said that they have to write the program for 98 Octane. And thats what he did.

Note that everytime you do a major upgrade on your car the ECU has to be programmed again.

For example if you install 555 injectors and larger Turbos or Dual Pop Charger you have to get a new Chip from JWT, programmed to support those mods. [You can ask JW to send you an new chip or you can send your JWT ECU back and reprogrammed it again]

Low 12's would be acheivable but I don't think you'll hit it because of the cr@p UK drag strips.

You'll need a good track and drag radials for that 1/4 mile time.

Still, don't get despondent as the Z was never built as an off the line drag car.

It's overall in gear flexibility / driveability that counts IMO

Steve

man low 12s with those mods in the uk no way.

it wont happen the surface over here sucks.

If i compare my mods to the guys on the ttnet, i should be doing low 12s.
