As mentioned in my earlier "mystery leak" thread, I also have an oil leak somewhere.. Got under the car this morning and it seems to be getting worse :(

If the car is standing (not running) I probably get about 4 drips per night on the garage floor, but when running (under pressure) it seems to be much more serious (see pics). When standing, the drips are coming off the sump, but I think that this is just because it's the lowest point..

Been checking the oil regularly and topping up as required. Would be good to get this sorted though!

As before, many thanks for any tips..

Looks like that could well be the rear main seal on the crankshaft leaking. Does the clutch slip at all?

As Andy has said rear main seal looks like the culprit the only other places that it could leak from would be your oil filter not srewed on enough although there would be drips on this or your turbo oil hoses on the drivers side , feed and return.

Not really had any clutch problems, although I did have to top up the fluid last weekend (fluid very low and pedal very floppy).

I think that Jock mentioned it sounded like the rear seal a while ago, although this was based on my limited discription of the problem..

Is it a big/difficult job to repair this Andy and would there be a replacement seal kit available?

Filter seems tight and no drips are coming from it. Not sure about the turbo oil hoses  I'll try and work out where these are - lol

Could be the slave cylinder leaking then - TBH looking at the colour of the fluid I'd say this was more likely. Clean the whole area then see where the fresh oil appears from :)
