Well, nearly.

Got the thumbs up and an offer from a guy I know that I couldn't refuse despite deciding to keep her.

He's sorting deposit tomorrow. Im not driving her from now either, shes all tucked up and locked away, so i'm driving a borrowed Citreon AX 1.0

Time to find a replacement then!!!!

In all honesty, me and the missus are going to have another kid soon, and we are saving to buy another house, so the Z just doesnt make sense any more, im also working out of town and may be for some time.

Anyway's I guess it could fall through, but ATM it looks like thats it for the Z :(.

It's sad, pretty emotional actually, the Z has given me so many good times over the past couple of years, and I must say I think it is the best car I have ever owned. Going to have a fair few sleepless nights over loosing her I think, still could always get another down the line.

Anyway's guys, the hunt begins for a 'nippy' family car thats a good all rounder. Nothing to OTT i've decided (unless its really really nice lol).

Any ideas chaps?

Cheers

Steve

i no where there is a half about calibra turbo going cheap

steve

:( UL Steve-o

Admittedly When my wee one was a baby the Landrover Disco V8 suited us perfectly.

a 4x4 might not be quick, but it gives you a different feeling, especially when everyone is sitting waiting to drive out of the car park through barriers and you just drive straight over an embankment onto a clear road

Damn! now u got me thinking about a 4x4

Remember as soon as your wee one is a toddler, the Z has factory fitted kiddie seats ;)

Sorry to hear you losing your zed mate. I recently bought a 2.5,V6 Mitsubishi Galant, and it is a blinder, fast enough to play with but sensible enough, with all the mod cons, for me to use as a work car ( I am a health and safety consultant, so turning upo to wpork in a zed would be a bad thing) Carries four adults comfortably, and you can fit a zed gearbox, two cylinder heads and a couple of shooters in the boot. An excellent all rounder :)

Awe, Steve-o !! :( Thats a shame mate. Make sure you look in from time to time.

Good luck with your next car. No suggestions I'm afraid, I guess there are so many!

Take it easy bud.

babies are cuter though :D

good luck mate, hope to see you at billing again next year

All the best m8, I had to sell my UK TT for a family car and settled on a Honda Civic Aerodeck 1.8 VTI. To be honest they do shift for what they are and it was a great car for what we needed at the time.

Was never going to touch the Zed but still a very good family car which not many people know about (hence low prices!!).

Mine was Silver with a factory fitted bodykit and looked great as far a family cars can! ;)

Sadly my partner and I split thats the bad part

But it did mean another Zed so that was a plus! :hyper:

Whatever you get best of luck with it m8, kids are worth the price as any father will tell you!!

Cheers & all the best,

Pete

Well you finally sold her mate, how could u do it LOL. Well mine may be up for sell soon, i will have to look at finances when out 2nd is born in a few weeks.

As for a replcement car, what about a BMW 540i, i know u looked at the 7's but the 5 is lighter and quicker. What about a Nissan Maxima doesnt that use the same V6 3.0 as the zed and are cheap as chips to buy now.

At least get another Jap car! That way, you can still go to Billing!!

Good luck find the right mota and make sure you stick around on ere

Cheers lads ;)

Deposit taken so its tata soon.

Was thinking of an Accord type R, slow as shit compared to the Z and FWD :O thats the biggest shitter, but a nippy reliable good all round family car I think.

I was looking at beemers for a while too.

Ah well we'll see, perhaps I can buy a scrapped Z32 and still say I own one :D

Sorry to hear that steveo, i'm probably gonna get shot down

in flames for saying this, but if i were to opt for a family car,

it'd be a scoob (4-door) :x: I'd love an evo instead, just couldn't

afford one :(
