I remember a while ago I saw some splash guards (colour coded or sprayed) and wondered how easily these can be obtained?

Eg: Here is a silver 300 with them on...

I think it bulks out the wheel arches quite nicely...

I've made what I thought were funny posts in the past and people have got the wrong end of the stick and thought I was being rude.

I've also taken other people's jokes the wrong way and got all angry.

Becuase a forum is just short typed messages with little context, no facial expression or tone etc it is easy to get the wrong end of the stick.

This forum's pretty relaxed and pretty much everyone here's just here for the cars / the crack.

Unfortunately 2 figures on a sheet of paper dont tell you the girth of the vehicle just behind the rear wheels where the rear bumber begins.

Or in your language, like cocks fitting in a fanny, it's not the length that was the issue, it was the girth in particular areas that was a concern.

Neil,

I'm sorry for you, it's not nice to find out that somthing isn't what you thought it was. But I'm asuming you had seen pictures of it and some form of a spec list?

If a decent company are importing one, or even already selling one over here, then if they miss out important stuff like not mentioning it's a T/Turbo, then it most probably isnt. And if in one ad they say it is, and then you find out it isnt, dont bother giving them a second chance, they are obviously a bunch of ****s!! who don't know their business, and you dont want to be dealing with a company of that low standard.

The problem with high spec cars like the ZX, is that you are having to trust the selling agent (either a dealer or individual) personally I'd recomend seeing some of the cars for sale from well established, subscribed members, on here. As they will probably have been here for quite some time, and will have looked after their Zed, as a good Zedder would. Also other members will know the car aswell, and you can look back through the owners previous posts and see what sort of problems they have had with the car, and see how they delt with them.

I hope that is of use to you, and good luck in your search.

As a general rule the company in question listed turbo editions without mentioning anything, but instead just mentioned non-turbo ones specifically.

The vehicle in question, like the turbo-models, had no mention of "non-turbo" so silly me assumed it followed the rule then that it was turbo.

The day the vehicle arrived in this country I phoned to check I could see it etc, only to find out it wasn't a turbo after all...

will i be getting a down grade for that mr jock

im sure you knew what i was getting at FFS
