I remember a while ago I saw some splash guards (colour coded or sprayed) and wondered how easily these can be obtained?

Eg: Here is a silver 300 with them on...

I think it bulks out the wheel arches quite nicely...

I'll assume because you feel the need to have the little dancing girl in your signature that infact you're actually quite young, and this explains the reason for the juvenile behaviour....

yup. Maybe ill grow up to be a miserable old dafty too.

Do they mount by just a couple of bolts in effect pinching the wheel arch?

To answer your question Neil, and for any others that are wondering, these are quality OEM fitments, not some cheap aftermarket plastic stuff from Halfords. They fit with 3 or 4 bolts/screws and double sided bodywork fixing tape. but as they are factory fitments, then the rears will not have the holes already in the bumper (the fronts utilise existing holes) so you'll have to drill some yourself.

Neil, please don't ask 'Will this damage your bumper?' or somthing like that, as that would be an obvious answer! Anyway you might find a nice import with thme on already, saving you some work. I do hope you find a nice example, as you are asking so much, and hoping not to waste your money, which is a good idea, but can I sugest somthing (which I think has been said before to you) why not subscribe to the forum, and help to contribute to the site that is giving you SO much information! And, hopfully, saving you a fourtune in not buying a dud!!

Also, before asking questions, why not do some reaserch and try using the SEARCH function at the top of each page on here. That way you'll probably find all the answers you require, without getting the sarcasim!!!! ;)

I hope that helps you.

I did do a search, but came up empty.

Hence, I thought it was worth a thread, but the amount of out-right sarcasm obviously proves me wrong. Infact the sarcasm seems a bit of a running theme by a number of people. Shame, hardly induces positive feelings to the forum, or indeed signing up etc.

You cant say I didnt try to help......................... If you buy a Zed and subscribe, maybe you'll see us all in a different light. Or maybe not :D

You'll never get the complete answer your looking for in one place. So you have to do reasearch, and have a Zed to try things on (as basic as this anyway) Or go to a local, or national, meet and look at other Zeds, talk to the owners, etc.

You seem very serious about buying a Zed, so just subscribe, and all the help you want is at your finger tips.

If I buy a "Z" I would subscribe. However, the kinda of "shit" - and lets call it what it is, "shit" - I've seen over the past few days certainly doesn't induce this sentiment.

In answer to your question, to be honest, there's no way I would subscribe (now) before buying.... I can just imagine the "shit" I'd get from certain individuals for being a member of a car group and not having the car itself - You only have to look at the "shit" I get for asking some questions about a car I do not (currently) own...

If there is an unwritten rule about it not being permitted for non subscribed members to ask questions - which may or may not be of interest to members - then so be it. Hint taken and I'll refrain.

Neil are you for real, you seem to like working people up mate, I bet you on the toyota forum as well aren't you?

Awww Neil, dont get upset. ;) Nobody minds newbys askin questions, thats what the forums all about. You've just went a bit overboard, i mean, askin if the Z will fit in your garage... C'mon! Just try using the search function a little more. :hyper:

Take a look at this thread. I asked what I thought was a reasonable question, and received repeated sarcasm (and insults) levelled at me over and over again. And I'm the one working people up? Sheesh.

Nobody minds newbys asking questions - Apparently you do. To quite some extent apparently...

I went a bit overboard? - So my simple questions are going overboard... and your sarcastic/rude replies were not overboard or unecessary. Interesting interpretation.

As for the post I made about getting a Z in my garage (a year ago?) - Unfortunately no one had posted a thread before about parking their "Z" in my garage. Go figure.

Again I apologize if there are is a problem with non-subscribed members asking question.

ADMIN

If there is an admin here please delete this thread - It's got beyond daft now (unfortunately).

It's certainly not what I wanted out of asking a simple question about a feature I spotted on a "Z".

Figured. Your a tit!

Lets get back to that dancing girl! I'd love to know where you got her, come on tell me?

Well can anyone else help with the dancing girl! looks like there isnt goint to be any help here?

There is no unwritten rule about asking questions here!

Now I've answered a few of your questions in the past, and I beleive I've helped you out here aswell................ So whats the problem? Is the answer not good enough? What do you want me to do, bring one of the rear ones, that I havent fitted yet, to your house and show you how to do it?

And as far as not having a Zed, and subscribing, I know of a few mwmbers who have done it that way round. I also know of people who became members on their first post!!!!! and fair play to them for doing that. :duffer:

So the answer is NO you wont get 'sh1t' for doing it that way round, and the sarcasim will disapear aswell!!!

So next time someone helps you out, and doesnt take the p155, don't through it back in their faces! Because it's not appreciated, by me or anyone else.

Rargh! Dont mess with the Grantham Growler

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Cheers Pete :duffer:

Although I do prefer Comedy Dave :D

I can only think you obviously mis-understood/mis-read my reply. It in no way infured I had a problem with your post or indeed wanted any further information from you. Can't understand what made you think otherwise. How was anything I said aimed at you and throwing anything back in your face.

My comments instead referred to the myriad of off-topic (spam), sarcastic and offensive posts that can be clearly seen in this thread.

Page up once or twice. You'll see posts far more deserving of blame.

I do hope this thread gets deleted soon - It's depress how such an innocous and well intended thread deserves so much backlash.

Oh FFS Neilf

Take a powder mate. Go lay down in a dark room and consider how much easier life would be if you just didn't take thing so to heart. The guys here are a good crew (well most of the time). Scottywill or is that not so small spotty willy. Your a naughty boy, be nice to newbies.

My friend... You need to level this advice at the individuals here who go out of their way to troll and insult, seemingly at times for no reason other than to invoke a response/flame. I couldn't care less about these lamas (of course meant in the friendliest manner).

Have a nice weekend. ;)

ps: Mine has just been ruined - A beautiful 94 SWB T-Top Silver 300 (complete with allows, body kit etc) that I've had my eye on that was being shipped across just arrived here, and NOW I find out it's a non-turbo.

Neil,

I'm sorry for you, it's not nice to find out that somthing isn't what you thought it was. But I'm asuming you had seen pictures of it and some form of a spec list?

If a decent company are importing one, or even already selling one over here, then if they miss out important stuff like not mentioning it's a T/Turbo, then it most probably isnt. And if in one ad they say it is, and then you find out it isnt, dont bother giving them a second chance, they are obviously a bunch of ****s!! who don't know their business, and you dont want to be dealing with a company of that low standard.

The problem with high spec cars like the ZX, is that you are having to trust the selling agent (either a dealer or individual) personally I'd recomend seeing some of the cars for sale from well established, subscribed members, on here. As they will probably have been here for quite some time, and will have looked after their Zed, as a good Zedder would. Also other members will know the car aswell, and you can look back through the owners previous posts and see what sort of problems they have had with the car, and see how they delt with them.

I hope that is of use to you, and good luck in your search.
