yeah just got back frown.gif god i left at 5 or so pm.

My best run was a 13.94@105 mph i think. I could not get any grip whatsoever. My 60foot times were always 2.5 2.6 secs which just means you aint goign to run a quik 1/4

Duffman went well, 14.3 with TC off 14.7 with TC on ???

He always had me of the mark as i just couldent hook up , but thrid and 4th i started to go. It was a really good day and lots of fun.

To give you an idea for comparrison.

A new spec M5 went 15.6

Porshe carrera 4x4 went 15.1 @100mph

Porshe 924 with V8 AND WET NOS system 13.9@102mph.

Honda nsx rtype 13.98@102 mph.

Ultima 11.8 @135 mph !!!!!!!!!

good time though warren. Can you not bring the boost on gradually with your flashy controller to get a bit more traction. were you running 1.5 bar?

Good result when you beat NSX's and carrera 4's

ps im ready to kick yer ass on UT.

my ID metre is not working yet, as i have a probleM witH my speedo convertor (yes S.E frown.gif)

should sort it out though before next time, i ran at 1.07 bar peak, still spinning in third gear quite alot, Duffman is master at getting of the line. No matter what i tried he had me time after time.

But when you compare the rear tyres I think you'll find the answer warren wink.gif Yours are 245s mine are 265s - also larger diameter wheels give better grip too so 17s for you, 18s for me..... I think that more than answers it.... Also with running 18s my gearing would have been a little lower so the change from first to second would be slightly later for me - probably just after the 60ft whereas you had to change into second before the 60ft.... Just a thought...

CheerZ for a great day though - need more next time!!!

Warren,

An auto may help here, higher first gear means less wheel spin etc. I guess you're not suffering from lack of power, just lack of traction.

Now an auto with lanch control, traction control and running 400bhp with sticky tyres should be quite fast.

The main problem at santa pod is the traction - it seems to have got worse over the last year or so. I reckon it has something to do with the jet blower they use to dry the track - its bound to get a little avgas on the tarmac which will loose you traction.... The tyres were sqealing all the way up the track but don't on a normal road so......
