my wiper blades, which i put on in the spring ( champion ) started to squeek all the time, no matter how much it was or wasnt raining.

Used washer additve and screenex, no difference, just squeek bloody squeek!!

So I changed the blades for New super dooper Bosch ones (£12 notes each) gauranteed to clear screen and be silent!

Great for 4 days. now guess what------ squeek bloody squeek again, driving me up the wall? as I use the car most days and of course on most days its raining.

Any body any ideas, other than changing the windscreen or the car??

Ive been eagerly following this, and nipping out and trying all the solutions, looked a right tit rubbing the basingstoke gazzette all over my windscreen... still no joy for me either :( and BTW how fooking expensive is rainX ??? WTF is in that shit? rip off.

The blades usually squeek when the windows are clean and free from grease, because glass and rubber have an adhesive property when put together thats why you have rubber seals around ya windows! ;)

If the blades arnt set right then they will drag, usually only in one direction. watch them when they are running, they should flip equally from one side (surface) of the blade to the other, if they dont, bend em i bit! The End. :D

or use that rainex stuff. Its weird just driving and the drops fly up and off the screen. It makes the wipers really quiet too. Bit of work applying it but it stays on for about 3 months

Tried rain X, see previous post, costing a fortune trying all these different stuff, may have to get rid of car, as it is driving me up the wall, dont want to get in it!!!

It's traditional to drive Zs arse first in the rain - try that :D

My local car spares man says that it is to do with the angle of attack of the wiper blades on the screen. If you imagine the blades sitting at 90 degrees to the windscreen it can flip'flop about 20 degrees each way on the in-built rubber hingey thingey. Then it'll be silent and not judder. If. however, your blade is at 10 degrees out, it'll work perfectly well one way, but then be juddery and noisy the other way, as the limit of the flip.flop hinge is reached.

Get a pair of pliers, and gently twist the black metal wiper arm till the blade looks like it's 90 onto the glass.

If it breaks, it's NOT MY FAULT!!!

Hi guys, guess what---- after all the things i tried and in the end just gave up and put up with them squeaking all the time. Today when I put them on--- NO SQUEAK!!???

totally silent, and yes they were moving.

All those things must have had some effect eventually, just hope it does not come back.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I'm driving my girlfriends car at the mo and her wipers are driving me insane.
