Tech question about running lean or rich

How would you make your zed run lean or rich?

basically i mean can this be done without the change of an ECU?

Featured Replies

You'll need the Apexi S-AFC or...

soon you'll be able to do that (up to +/-30%) with our conZult-software smile.gif

Only if you make changes that are so dramatic that you take the ECU outside the map, whereupon it will make a best guess.

Alternatively you would need to do something to the O2 sensors which would change their output and affect the decisions made by the ECU. Don't like the sound of any of it to be honest.

Why would you want to run rich or lean ? Running rich is safer and can give you a litle more power, but not much.

I agree with Andy.

You shouldn't mess around with the fuel-amount unless you really know what you're doing and have the right equipment to fully tune the engine (wideband O2-sensors and EGT-sensors)

it has never run as rich as it was running.
