my uk tt auto

has started to go from first to second and back again

fast making the car jerk when slowing down/coasting.

marcus did a consult

the tps ant timming were spot on

the consult would not find the gear box think because of chip in car

did a gear box test tonight the light that flashes doesnt go out after 2 secs originaly it flashes 15 times

when i run through the test at the end the light dont flash at all

Unplug the g/box ECU and then plug it back in after about 30 mins. that should reset it. Had simular on one a while ago.

Don't think having a different chip in the ECU will affect how the ConZult detects the gearbox controller. More likely that the gearbox controller is hosed - hopefully a reset will fix it.

The Conzult will only pick up UK spec autoboxes , i have tried this on about 20 different cars and it only ever seems to be able to do an auto diag on uk cars , will have a chat to Danny to find out if there is going to be a fix for this

Stevo can't remember when I did yours bud but i have done a couple with MINES and it has worked UK cars but for some reason not on the Japs , now I am stumped

have you any ideas what it might be havnt disconected the gearbox ecu yet will do this weekend

one thing we didnt chect was to see is the ecu was picking up your speed. my conzult works when it feels like it on my gearbox, strange...

done all the above today

cleaned the speed sensor plug

reset the gearbox ecu

rewired a new plug on the tps

and she runs better than ever well happy

steve i sorted out my gearchange, after a few miles of driving the gearbox fluid needed topping back up, now she's far smoother and the delay has nearly gone again.

ill have to see how ur box is now, but i think mines fine....doh ill have to pay Dave C some money now lol.
