Did you have true four wheel alignment?

You could always try swapping your front wheels over if your tyres are,nt directional , you,ll be suprised how much one tyre being more worn than the other can make your steering pull to one side :hyper:

Mine drove really well, kept straight with wheels off the wheel, with both standard and 19" alloys on. Had it aligned in Bolton a few weeks back on original alloys, now pulls to the left and steering wheel is off centre. Hoping to get it aligned again, using a set of Harves camber correction kits and have it redone at a different place as the original place could only do upto 18" wheels.

Yes 'True Wheel Alignment'

Bazza - C&S woods use this place in bolton to do there cars he said they 'do' a lot of zeds from there.

Wheels have never been swapped over cos It drove in a straight line when I bought it and I've never changed them over.

Tyre pressures o.k. as I did them night before (although in the dark :slap: )

Jaffa - Brakes squeak but I cant remember if they always have? may have only been slight keep meaning to look at anyway (but want bigger brakes and need bigger wheels and ££££££)

Place I used has an extreamly good reputation!

I may start driving on wrong side of road

Is everything covered?

Wierd...

Paul, mine was in at the same place. I was a little concerned when the guy who normally set them up wasnt available, so a young lad set it up, had trouble, had help from another young lad. Then said might not work due to the bumper being to low, to find it was the hydraulic pipe from the machine was in the way. Then an older guy took over.

Thistlethwaites is the place in Bolton... they're good.

Bazza, have you got any aftermarket bits other than the wheels?

Even if not, at 19" you can expect bump and camber steer - that could be all it is. Does it still pull left even on the middle lane of the motorway?

On the 8 I have to countersteer any time I'm on the inside lane through Astley Bridge otherwise the car sort of falls into the gutter naturally. You don't notice it so much on floppier setups like on most hatchbacks...

Zack, they aligned it with standard wheels on and straight away, was pulling to the left and steering wheel was out. Up until then it drove straight no problems. Not too fussed, found a place that can do it with 19s, so will get it redone, also now have a set of Harves camber correction kit, so will be usuing them if camber is out.
