Hi guys, please help, recently got my Zed and the main headlight bulbs have gone, one day one the following the day the other !!

Been to my local car spares shop and he said he couldnt find them in his book!

If anyone knows where i can get them either on line or any other way it would be most appreciated, i have full beam but dont think people would like me driving round with that on all the time. Please help me get my car back on the road after dark  cheers in anticipation guys.

If its an import you will have H3c bulbs. You can either do the above mod or or get replacement H3c bulbs. I'm getting mine from http://www.priracing.com - 0161 718 6721.

They ain't cheap tho' but the light output is allegedly much better than stock.

Stock bulbs are also available from http://www.zcentre.co.uk/lighting/lighting.shtml

Hope this helps

Sodium Zed - but used everyday

I just fitted my first set of PIAA H3C superwhites.

Mmm... illumination... :)

The above mob is correct, but THIS is the full, more user-friendly one.

TBH, unless your going for 100% original and standard condition competition, whats the point in keeping the original H3c bulbs, they cost a fourtune, and arnt always easy to get hold of ------ Just an opinion ;)  After all the mod takes about ten mins to complete.

Mark - They really make a difference? Worth the extra £20-30 than the standard 55w? I have been lookng a for a change of bulb for a while now. I had the same probs as MPC.....except both mine blew when i was on the M4. I really was night rider......

Deffo make a big difference over standard bulbs; better coverage and things are clearer in white, rather than yellow light. So right now I'd say they ARE worth it.

Personally I haven't compared them with alternatives yet, but there's a thread somewhere with pretty good evidence that 55W PIAA = 85W normal. As for the hefty price difference, time will tell if they last!

...However...!

I just felt like taking the easy option, rather than the cheapest one. Like the other chaps say, H3Cs are chuffin' expensive!

TBH, when these ones go, I'll probably do the mod...

hmmm.

def food for thought. I'll have a serious think. I've been informed that the 'silver' insert cards are very good at disspersing the light - almost sd if they should be there as standard! think they are quite a hefty price though...anyone know? I saw some threads a while ago - £150 rings a bell....
