Might treat the zed and me :D!

Have seen both, Koyo is a much tidier looking rad, the Howe looks a bit rough to me, sorry to the guys that have one, but on the upside I hear the howe has a larger capacity?

Featured Replies

Not sure about the capacity, but the Howe does have larger end tanks (only just) Having seen both and fitted both it has to be the Koyo, better quality;)

and it worried me when on all the howe ads its says "will need some grinding to make fit"!!! the koyo fits straight in nicely :)

Koyo for me too! Looks great (and apparently helps cooling or something as well..?)

   How much are they ??

I know the koyo takes a shedloadd more water than the stock one to fill, but one thing i,d advise is keep the bleed screw off your stock rad to go in the koyo, as the plastic screws on them are poo and snap at the thought of being tightened, failing that an escort 1.4 temp sender fits in there well and looks like a nice brass one!!!!

Have you considered a custom rad? A triple copper core, including custom top brackets, painted/lacquered will set you back £250. It's obviously heavier than the aluminium Koyo/Howe but very efficient and robust.

Thanks for the advice guys, from ringing around and asking people's general advice it seems Koyo is the way to go!

I am a bit wary of anything custom made Shahid, as opposed to something that is tried and tested, we will have to meet up again soon mate!

Koyo is defo not the way to go Young Man :slap: the rad cap neck is only a pressed out job and is prone to deforming(FACT) Where as the Howe is a proper engineered billet aluminium one turned seperatly then seam welded on.You might get the extra bling with the Koyo as its polished but you wont get the strength of the Howe.

JFYI, the rad cap deformed because there was a defect in the packaging for Koyo rads, this led to some being damged in transit knocking the rad cap out of true, Koyo have resolved the packaging prob now!

Ive just fitted the howe rad no probs, looks a real nice bit of kit! for the money you save on it you could always get it polished
