Hi all, does anybody know of any reason why a left hand front brake caliper can not be swapped over to fit the right hand front and vice a versa? I have looked and cannot see any reason why not just wondered if anyone had a better idea.

The bleed screw will end up at the bottom, which will give problems with bleeding any air out of the caliper.

not sure if that would make a difference, would it not be under pressure when bleeding?

Bleed screw got to be at the top or you will never get the air out!-interested why the question of ns/os calipers was raised?[just a nosey bugger!] :)

I suppose you could take the caliper off, chock the pads, turn the calipe upside down and bleed it!

Just asked as I want 2 new calipers and AndyZ has 4 left hand no right hands Andy said about the bleed screw but other than that he could see no reason why it couldnt be done as they look identical. Thanks for all your help maybe I should try it just so we all know for future reference, not that its likely to come up again I suppose.
