What happens to the two sensors, whether they be cat temp, or exhaust gas temp, that normally connect to them ?

Do they just remain unconnected ? I guess the question really is, do they fail open or closed .....

I don't want the dashboad light on all the time when the cats are gone.

that is a very good question you know.

i think your best bet is to gut the cats in the car cause then you dont have that problem.

But i want to gut my cats soon aswell.

i think there is a tech section on the ttnet, for doing the job

Gutting the cats is fairly easy, but as I've bought the de-cat pipes now I wanna use them. I'd also like to keep the cats in one piece, should I need them for the future (MOT's maybe, or if the de-cats are too noisey). I think that you can just leave the sensors disconnected, but I want to make sure. Must be someone here who has done this. Spoke to Johnny but he was a little vague. Guess I can double check with Pete next time I see him. Darren should know - if he reads this.

I'll report back, should I find out the definitive answer off forum.
