Please don't start a fight over this....

Hello all, I know I'm going to open a can of worms but I was wondering how much it would cost to convert my auto T.T (Uk spec) to a manual, will it cost a fortune? and is it worth it considering the engine differences between the auto and manual?

Brian, do everyone a favour for Christs sake, ring SE! Ignore what everyone else says about them, they have carried this out before with huge success wink.gif

Yeah, they did this for Coogs. He supplied all the parts and they supplied the labour.

Call 'em.

Give IAN ring at HITEQ, he really knows his story.. Telephone number :01942721778

YEAH YEAH AND THAT LOT ABOUT S.E FFK Sake who are you trying to kid m8t ????

Thed probably put the a 200sx box in the car.

Where abouts are you Brian? I would also recommend Hiteq as I have had nothing but a top job from them...... You will need to call Ian at Hiteq as warren says and ask him about the pros and cons - he certainly knows his stuff and will give you an honest answer.

Hope this helpz,

Andy

I can see trouble brewing here - not really fair when the person requested it not to........

CheerZ,

Trouble? Where? biggrin.gif

Why would you wanna do this anyway? For the amount of depreciation on a Z at present depending on how long you've owned it! Taking into account buying in a manual gearbox and then paying all the labour I'd say you were stark raving mad! IMHO biggrin.gif

Bin the Auto and go buy a manual instead, like these firestarters who say "I own a N/A...how much hassle to fit a TT engine?"...fuck off and buy one for christs sake and save yourself all the bloody hassle!

IMO

I actually dont think it would affect depreciation now would it, i may be the only one who thinks this, but do you guys honestly go out and buy a car like this with depreciation values in mind?

the question i have is because the autos turbos are smaller than the ones on the manual, would that not cause some performance problems regarding the gearing, or would it increase performance on the lower end of things ?

If I was worried about values and depreciation I would have bought a B.M.W (ultimate driving machine my arse), I live in Ireland and clean Zs are a rarity and I cant find a japanese import Z with the spec mine has. I was wondering what a ballpark figure would be for parts and labour, and has anyone done this already? what were the results like (considering the smaller turbos)?

Thanks for your help guys

Brian
