Turbo outlet pipe fitting

I bought some T25 turbos off of ebay (they were new but never fitted to his 300zx) and having them fitted today they don't fit.

They fit engine side, but going to the exhaust they connections are too big. Anyone any idea why??? Surey a 300zx turbo is the same no matter what age/country etc it's for?

They came from universal turbos.

I thought autos and manuals had different turbos, maybe you heve the wrong ones.

Presumably you mean where the down pipe connects? Is it a 4 or 5 stud outlet on the new turbos? ;)

I'm relaying infor here I'm being told by the garage at the moment. Autos and manuals have different turbos, but apparently (according to universal turbos) have the same actual connection. The garage are telling me it's a different connection at where the turbo joints the downpipe (well, the header pipe that's about a foot long and goes into the downpipe).

Is the connection on that pipe any different for auto/manual or jap/uk does anyone know? I'm being told it shouldn't be by uni turbos, but the garage are saying it is.

andyduff - 4 or 5 stud, I don't know... I'll phone the garage again now.

auto/manual/jap/uk all the same. AFAIK all 4 stud housings are the same too. and 5 stud housings are the same... and and and LOL

You're prolly gonna need some 5 stud DPs makin up...

Yep you are right on the money mr Duff! - need some 5 stud downpipes... anyone know where the hell I can get any???

3 months without her now and counting :(

Few options...

1) Get the greg dupree divorced wastegate pipes from Smithy

2) Get some 5 bolt flanges and get your own pipes modified

3) Get some flanges and get some pipes fabricated

Smithy can get hold of the flanges for you - usually within a couple of days ;)

Yep you are right on the money mr Duff!
