After getting my £320 wheel refurb quote I have been trawling ebay for some new alloys.

I spotted a coulpe of people selling lots of alloys (of the same type i think, DGT), see the links below:

set 1

set 2

What do people think? Too good to be true?

I am on a low budget and would like to stick to 16" wheels. A). so I dont have to buy new tyres and B). the roards are quite bad around my area and the Z clatters around enough with its jap suspension & 16" wheels...

Just done a quick search on google and found the distributor/importer of the wheel's website...

DGT

I like the look of the ones in set 1, but they're only 7" wide, which is even less than the stock Japanese wheels.

I personally don't like any of the ones in set 2 all that much, and I'd be looking at the width of those too, as it doesn't specify.

The Z has very large calipers and most wheels wont fit with out fitting spacers on

None of those wheels are any good for the Zed.

Keep looking on eBay (and here) something's bound to turn up.

Make 'Alloys' a favourite search and tick to be informed of

new listings. You can narrow the search with 16"/17"/18".

114 pcd/5 stud etc.

I doubt any of these will fit a ZX too.

Certainly none of the regular (read cheaper) wheel manufacturers will have anything in 16 or 17 inch to fit. Some will have fitments in 18s.

You will find that most will be 7 inches wide - too narrow as stock fronts are 7.5 and rears (UK) 8.5 wide - these will not clear the brake calipers.

Aftermarket wheels that ACTUALLY fit properly are expensive so search out a 2nd hand set or stick with stock ones.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Don't forget you'll also have to shell out between £400-£600 for 4 tyres too.....
