Is there only one type, and if there is more than one, which will fit my Series 1 1990 H Reg N/A Auto J - Spec.

And do you really have to take the exhaust off to get to it?

not sure if the NA's and Turbo's are different but yes you do have to take the exhaust off to get to it if the shielding is all in place , if this has been done away with then it is possible to do it without removing the exhaust but tbh its a real pain in the backside. the removal of the exhaust just makes life much easier

Removing the exhaust aint a major biggie anyway. Ok so if the studs snap you've gotta drill them out and replace with nuts/bolts but still nothing major ;) Biggest problem is getting the old bearing off really but STILL nothing major :)

Are you replacing because of vibration? I ask because I've got a vibration coming through my gearlever on my 1990 NA Auto.

Yes it is vabrating when I cruise, but, when I accelerate hard, it clonks just under my bum. Particularly when accelerating uphill

Chris

Please..Are there more than one type of bearing. and where can I get it from?????????????????

nissan - about £135-£150 depending on your discount status. They get it within a couple of days. or from traders section mjp etc
