Odd question.. .Can someon kindly get a tape measure out...

...and measure how high their (standard) spoiler is off the ground?

At the rear of my garage is a work surface/shelf across the entire width. The rear on my S13 goes under it for example (I reverse in). Any Zed I buy would have to do the same, so I need to know how high the highest point is say on the last foot of the vehicle.

Can some kind owner get a tape measure out and tell me roughly what this highest point is?

Mine's about 14cm above the ground (with a 99 spec front spoiler).

Some bits of the (?) front undertray near the wheels are about 2cm lower.

I can make more accurate measurements in the light if you need.

I was woried about speed bumps etc but I've had no problems but I do go over them sloooooooowwlllllllllllyyyyyyy!

think hes talking about rear spoiler

just rip the shelf down job done

Err, rear spoiler! ;)

I have a feeling that the j spec cars are a bit lower than UK cars at the back. It also depends on the state of the the springs, etc.

Around 98cm for my import. It's difficult to be accurate though as the bumper sticks out a fair way and it's dark...

I get about the same - 98 cm . If you include where the rear wiper pivots it's about 105cm. That's on a J spec SWB with original alloys and tyre size. ( NB Full tank of fuel as well, dont know if that'll make any difference.)

Would a SWB be better than an LWB if length is important (oo err missus)

Go in forwards???

That would be a last resourt... Due to the nature/shape of the garage...

Cool! The shelf has about 109cm of clearance, so a 300 would go nicely under it :)

FYI 98cm basically the same height as the top of the spoiler on my S13 as well, give or take a cm.

if you've got to put the rear of a 200 under the bench, how are you gonna get a 300 in?

mine goes in with 2" to spare and i have to climb out of the Targa roof!!!

Huh? That last foot or so of my car reverses in under a shelf/bench... I have a couple of feet on the drivers side to get out...
