Cos the only place I have seen them in the UK

is Paul Bailey tel 07798 618431

He doesn't have them any more either. Bummer hey?

But if I could get a supplier, would any of you guyz and gals be interested in purchasing one or 2 for a good price?

You sometimes see them on eBay, but the prices are silly.

Count me in!could do with a spare.

Nissan wanted £80+vat!!!

I told them I only wanted a key! Not the whole steering colum. LOL!

Well,

I have spoken to our beloved Nissan but apparently the key is now discontinued.

If some one was bangin them out at £40 a throw it wouldn't be bad, would it?

There may be a few copyright issues to deal with but I'm sure no-one would mind a "Z" being on the key instead of "300ZX"....Although it would be nice.

got mine on ebay a week ago on ebay for $15.95 + $3.00 shipping

Was it a blank or pre-cut ?

I heard of someone who brought a pre-cut and luckily it worked with his existing locks !

Ok what's the website ebay???Sounds good to me blank or cut!!!

count me in on a buy, could do with a spare!

but obviously ain't paying forty squid!!

This is starting to look like a new group buy.

all we need now is the website!!!

You can buy the key blanks from the states. I saw a picture and prices on one of the US web sites... can't remember which one, but try all the usual links from twinturbo.net

I have heard that a Titanium key can give you an extra 10 bhp by reducing your total sprung weight! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

LMAO! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Yeah bit pricey though!! about $100 per key.

Yeah - If you can them at that price!

KSZX was very lucky.

Jez, Coz,

aren't you talking about the copy of the original key, that F8IZHIS (worldenterprises.org) was selling?

Apparently, they were sold out, as he doesn't list them

on his site anymore.

I even bought one from him, a while ago but since then I've

got my hands on a real one.

It was a cut one but I was able to have it re-cut to fit my locks.

The copy is nice and comes in a display box.

The only difference is the surface finish.

Maybe you could have it polished or something.

If anybody's interested, my copy is up for sale.

Maciej

If this does come into a group buy or someone does find a site that sells them, then I'd be interested in purchasing a couple for spares.

Did have a spare one cut at an AutoPlace in Oxford one time but it doesn't like opening the boot. biggrin.gif

Cheers

Ajay.

Found this on http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/General/nsxkeys.htm

"Despite what your Acura salesman may have told you, the NSX key is not titanium, platinum, unobtainium, or any other bizarre metal.

It is made of Monel, a nickel alloy. Composition: About 70% Nickel and 30% Copper. That's why the funny straw color. This alloy is used in many marine applications and is highly resistant to saltwater corrosion (as in sweat.)

The (nickel) "Titanium" key part number is 35113-SL0-A11. Somewhat difficult to machine, it's a "sticky" alloy. It requires a cutting machine that will copy an original key; the stamping machine that goes off the key code will not do it. They are not cheap. Suggested retail is over $100.

Regular $3 key blanks work fine too. For a spare key, the ILCO blank number is HD91. Anyone (like Ace Hardware) can make this key."

Hi All

I've been looking for the last 15 months with no success, tried every link, every forum, I got a couple of links to people who did make after market copies but I think the've gone down the pan and they wanted $100 each key.

I'm changing all my locks after buying them 2nd hand of this forum and it has a Titanium Key with it, I think this may be the only way to get one now.BTW some git had a go at all my locks and fucked them up, I didn't just buy the locks for the key biggrin.gif

Yep Mr Viking... it was the copy not the original I saw, so it much be like your's which was sold out.

About time I went to Japan, I bet there are loads of goodies not available over here like the keys!

Yep - that's what mine looks like too! And I've got one with a red hat on as well biggrin.gif

Only problem with those keys is that should you ever lose them in a car park it won't take a genius to work out which car it belongs to... biggrin.gif
