I have read some stats of a 4x4 that nissan are making, I think it is that Crosbow. 400bhp 4l V8. 0-60 in 4.8sec.

I think he is saying that, if he wanted a car that looks like that he would go and buy the car that originally looked like it.

It is very Audi TT from the back and Porsche from the front. Why are all the car manufatures making cars that look like each other? Audi make the TT a popular car, so Nissan make the arse look like it. Porsche have the 911 and the shitbox (Boxster) so Toyta make the MR2 look like it and Nissan make the new Z look like it.

Car manufacturers are shitting themselves about being original. The new designs are going back to cars 15 years ago, with bold corners and stright lines.

you're right about straight lines and boxes being back in BUT, the Audi TT and Porsche are hardly original shapes - both look like VW Beetles. I think its a shape that the Germans go for whenever they try and be adventuous

 

I guess that the problem is that all cars are not designed by Pininfarina/Ital Design/Bertone.

the nissan nails look like a daihatsu they used to drive around my high school, or those daihatsu's you can play in cruisin world......

Besides im not to sure Nissans aim is to please a bunch of speed freaks that dont even buy the cars when new..second hand cliental probably dont feature to high on the list...

 

And considering i seriously doubt mr lehari or whatever decided to go give them a helping hand with his input

 

Mazda tend to be the only Japanese car company that is really forward in its thinking when designing cars, yet they have only come into the black since ford took over...

what you have to remember you are designing a car for a wide spectrum of people, with an aim of making money... You get cars like Ferrari or Lamborghini, because they are for a select few people with alot of money, who can afford to live with all the little quirks a car like that would bring.... cuase they probably have 3 other cars to go down to the shops with...

i fortunatly am in the same boat as them cause i have a METRO to go down to the shops in
