Mine has it removed, already done when i got it. I've been

told by many people that it is a good thing to do.

hi guys can you tell me what is better

having the hicas (4ws) system or taking it out?

Remove it for 2 main reasons.

1. The Hicas is a pain in the ass and can be costly to repair only to have it go again, and you dont want things "going" that effect the direction of the car.

2. The car without HICAS handles far better.

Incidently mines been removed and has a stillen unit fitted, I couldnt beleive the difference it made to the handling, but then again the HICAS was fooked when I took it off.

Will be removing mine very soon, saves loads of weight aswell

on the other hand, I've never had any problems with my hicas being enabled,

Same here - if it ain't broke - don't fix it

Take in to acount and people have commented that removing/disabling hicas can result in severe tail ending and takes some practice to handle the car unless your use to not having it at all.

my mate has a gts skyline after removing hicas it seemed to feel like being on ice! i think it suits differant driving though eg straightlines, cornering ;)

When it's good, it's very very good, especially on turn-in...

But when it's bad it's appalling...

(I've had a Z where it was working spot on and a Z where it wasn't quite perfect, in case you're wondering)

I think it makes it twitchier in the wet too (and I can see the logic there).

Some people just don't like it - me, I think it makes left-foot braking work better and I'm all for it. :D
