Got a question I thought I'd throw open to the forum. Was chatting with parental unit#1 today and found out she would really like to change her car. By her own admission she doesn't spend money on going out/shopping/holidays etc but the one thing she does like having is a "nice" motor, and likes it to be noticed. At the moment she's driving a BMW 5 series which appeals because it's "quick" when she needs it to be (yes, she is a bit of a speed merchant at times!:D), she feels safe in it and it's got a "stylish", comfy interior. She's always bought from new and is decidedly untrusting of second hand cars but I'm starting to bring her round on this point! None of us are what you'd call rolling in money so her budget is around the £20,000 mark. Was wondering what you guys would recommend for this kind of dosh? (sadly can't go for any two seaters as she needs the back seats for the dog!)...Base model RX8 went through my head...

Cheers,

Leigh.

Was wondering how long it would take  ;)

Think she's looking for something as big or nearly as big as her 5 series so don't think it would float her boat.

There's a guy round our way (a right posing b*stard!) that owns a convertable 3 series with all the trimmings and I know she likes that! I know for sure she's not taken with the X-type.
