im just a bit concerned about potential theft - leaving them on display like that must be like leaving your stereo in all the time. any suggestions? i thought about trying to get some sort of black cover i can just put over them

Believe it or not I had mine fitted in my glove compartment out of sight. Also mine were apexi and I found if I didn't have the hi fi on the clicking really pi55ed me off. Having proper clocks and Profec B to show me what going on this time.

Get some dodgy dash mounted guage pod and just sit it over the top of em at night (if you can find one that fits!) Super glue some old wires to the inside and have em hanging out the holes, bet no scamper will touch the thing then.

problem putting the items.. dave has in a glovebox, means you have to strech ya neck at right angles! totally usless when the whole idea of having a speed meter is you want it infront of you doing 140-150mph LOL

besides is a thief going to dissconnect your ecu to nick it

probably or cut the lead

leave them where they are dave do you have window tints or no?

i have tints on the rear and rear quarters, but not on sides or front greg. obviously i cant see twoccers meticulously unwiring the units first, but the little sh1ts probably dont even know what they do - just nick em anyway.

its a shame apexi didnt think of this, and have little docks that you mount on the dash, into which the unit can slide in or out

maybe just some black cloth draped over the top - ill have to experiment

Why not buy some male/female connecters and make up a plug. How many wires are there going from the units?.

just one thick lead out of each unit, each lead having up to ten wires. i'm just experimenting at the moment with stuff to cover them with.

I just thought it was a boost and fuel controler like I used to have. Though a good practical bit of kit I still think they look naff. So I still say get a couple of good gauges and confine the controlers out of sight.

I relocated mine into the cpmpartment behind the handbrake. Fit in there nicely and out of site.

I can see what is going on with my boost guage anyways.
