Can any one help me?? I have a standard Twin Turbo,Auto and am considering having an engine rebuild done,

I have been quoted £3600 For a full rebuild with upgraded turbos and Metal HeadGasket..,

or £2600 For a standard Rebuild, by a company.

Just wanna know if that is reasonable price to pay...

It all depends on what there doing in the rebuild you say upgraded turbos what ones?? unless your gonna run mega high boost you dont need to go with metal headgaskets the standard nissan ones will handle alot of power.

If you don't keep on re-tightening the head bolts they leak. To do that on a Z simply requires too much work. The standard gaskets are easily strong enough already ;)

As andy says you WILL need to re torque the heads down at least twice over a 1-2000 miles period which isnt easy as you have to well strip the engine to get to the head bolts and also if your going to you need to get your heads studded to also help this.

But if you do all this and you are looking for mega power you can use them regardless what ever people say i know cos i have them on and had no problems so far ;) but i wouldnt have put them on if i wasnt goig big power :)
