I've found I CAN get my ECU re-programmed on my 99 NA auto.

I think it'll remove the 130mph top speed limiter and give me more go in the gears and raise the rev limiter to 7200rpm.

Does anyone know if this is a good idea?

What effect will it have on engine (or other bits) life?

Any idea how much more 'go' I'll feel in the gears?

What about fuel consumption?

And any idea how fast it'll go with no limiter?

I'd like to get it done but not if it'll cause problems.

Thanks gents (and ladies)

I didnt think there was a huge difference, but i tried my car about a month ago with the standard chip and noticed a HUGE difference. Felt much slower!

My fuel consumption is rubbish. Cant really remember if its worse or not. Pretty sure it is

Had mine to 145 before running out of road, with no other mods. I know there's more there though.
