Hi guys... Mr GTO here! :mac1:

A post on behalf of my pal who bought my ZX TT from me... He enjoyed blasting the 1/4mile at the GTOuk TERMINAL VELOCITY event he wants to move on and do a little more to the car. :p

The question is what next and how much can he expect from the mods.

The car currently runs an Apexi SuperMegaphone Exhaust with no cat, and an Apexi induction kit. So the breathings sorted.

Now what? Chip? if so where from and about how much.

Also what about adjustable boost? Do you need any fueling supporting mods for this? He doesnt aim to push too much and wishes to retain the standard tubs.

The cars a '91 Auto Twin Turbo

Fank ya dudes! :hyper:

Tell him to get in touch with me. I can sort all the next stage of mods for him :)

Ive actually already mentioned you to him!!

What ARE the next stages then? Information interesting much as to me as to him.

Reprogramed ECU

Boost Upgrade

Intercoolers

And he'll see a Huge power hike. Best of all i supply them all :D ;)

nope... enlighten me

Click on Pete's Sig ;)

Upgrades after induction.

Chip, Chris sells a complete ECU which I have and does the job. A couple of chips are available but require youo to do some soldering (sod that) but come in cheaper. No point in having the chip unless you up the boost. 2 ways, 1 boost controler approx £250. 2 boost jets, approx £3. boost jest work fine but aint adjustable. A lot of the guys have them and are a 5 min instaltion to boot.

Will need a boost guage as the one supplied on the car is dog poo at best at worst its fooking c-rap.

Appart from thoes the next stage is strut braces and brake upgrade.

Struts are about £250 Larger front brakes are, well £300 and upwards.

Personal, and this is my humble oppinion. Dont bother upgrading the BHP unless you upgrade the stopping power, and too be honest the stock rotors aint realy up to it and they warp.

then upgrade the boost, get a boost guage and go with the jets untill you want to add the controler.

If ya doing it all yerself I think a ball park total would role in under a grand

Sorry to hijack - Chris@GetGReddy... do you know where I can get a chip or something similar to improve performance / remove the 130mph limiter on my 99 n/a auto 300?

with yours being 99 spec i'll have to look into it, send me an email and i'll get onto it tonight :)

Before any of that, uprated auto cooler is essential otherwise bye bye gearbox and all who sail in her....

Got those too :D

You'd better add that to the list as my next question was how do these auto boxes handle raises in power?

I quarter Miled her again myself and changing to third seemed a bit too smooth if that makes sense.. hard to describe. There was no kick as is the case when next gear starts pulling yet nothing seemed to be slipping.

BRAKES all done already should have said that.

Highly recommend fitting a UD pulley, you can feel the difference even on stock boost, judging by the ass dyno!
