How would a TT Z fair against an NSX?

My dream Japanese car would be a Honda NSX, but as they are too expensive, would a Twin Turbo 300ZX be a good alternative. How does it compare on performance?

I read in a magazine article, that the Auto 300ZX takes 7-7.5 secs to 60mph, and the manual 5.6-6.0 secs.Is this right?

lets just settle the dispute.

get all the autos together and we can just race in a straight line....

Craig, even if it is right, that is talking about the NSX. For Z's, the Auto is the clear ruler of the roost biggrin.gif

And I am willing to settle the dispute with a cocker spaniel owner, just not with one with T28 turbos and 555 injectors running higher boost than I am.

Hehe, I've seen those numbers quoted before and I think it was proved to be incorrect.

I read in a magazine article that the manual takes 3 months and 2 clutches to get to 60mph, when the auto owner takes just 5.5 seconds and can eat a big mac whilst its happening.

Next time I'm down by your way Craig, we'll go to the mad mile (MUST BE DRY THOUGH - I ain't messin with a car with RL TC !).

"Auto, auto, auto, auto..."

Hey, you know that Dave R has threatened to delete posts and ban users to the sin bin over on the 200 forum for this kinda talk! ROFL biggrin.gif

Actually the manuals are probably quite fast to 60 (for the first couple of times), above that of course fifth gear will be needed (assuming it goes into 5th without a big crunch, the special oil and a rub of the lucky rabbits foot), then the clutch will start slipping ...... biggrin.gif

Dunno what I'm laughing about - my auto box packed up at about 35K, though it's been fine since the rebuild with the uprated line pressures and the big oil cooler .... (fingers crossed)

An automatic box would suggest to me that you don't know when to change gear properly biggrin.gif The attitude of 'Oh I can't be arsed so I'll let a thick computer do it for me' doesn't make you quicker IMFHO biggrin.gif (Do you really need to ask what the F is doing there??? smile.gif )

What's next guyZ? An automatic throttle pedal or automatic steering??? LMFAO

Z ya,

Andy Well I've gotta get barred from somewhere FFS biggrin.gif

Wait up Duffman, I'll post about "flippy headlights vs. fixed ones" then! ROFLMFAO biggrin.gif

...or "Which is better? Boot or hatchback?" biggrin.gif

No mean feat that Mr. Duff anyway! biggrin.gif I could get banned just like that on the Soup Dragon BBS(not forum, blasphemy in the highest...those 300ZX chaps are an infidel!) biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
